Our Box Two tier's mission in life is to deliver performance similar to the Box One but without its exotic (and costly) features. You still get the Tri-Pack™ Clutch in our derailleur only it isn't adjustable. The cassette's 11-50T range is equally impressive but we don't cut it out of a single block of steel. The action on the shifter is just as snappy although you don't get the rigid die-cast pull lever. The chain boasts the same unique ability to mate with a wide/narrow chainring except you give up the trick DLC top coat. You're hardly shortchanging yourself with Box Two.

- Why Prime 9?
The Box 2 Prime 9 group has been a joy to run on my rig. I really like that there is another option other than the Big D's. Ultra smooth shifts at competitive price point.
The drivetrain works well after watching the tutorial on your YouTube channel regarding installation, had an enquiry early on and emailed Box with photos of the height of the derailleur hanger, I was worried it wasn't big enough, didn't get a response for over 3 months! I installed it and it runs very well but I wanted to check first, good job I didn't wait for a response, had issues with import fees(which can be nullified if packaged as a gift FYI) but overall the drivetrain does it's job there's no issues with the hardware, just the poor customer service hence the middle of the road 3 stars. I'm considering buying the same drivetrain for my second bike as it works flawless but under the understanding I'll be left high and dry if any issues arise in the future with any Box Components parts....or I could just go back to Shimano...
I love the concept of 9 gears but I could not get this to work with my bike 2016 Giant Anthem 2. I was going from a 2x Shimano Deore Set up. 8 gears worked perfectly but could never get the 9th gear(top end) to stay in gear. I ended up going with 1x12 SRAM NX Cassette and GX Shifters and Derailleur. I tried and tried with Customer Service but we didn't have any solutions to get all 9 gears to work. I actually rather have 9 gears so that is too bad it couldn't work on my bike.
Was able to install easily Everything seems to be working great Unfortunately I live in the Colorado mtns and haven’t been able to ride my new Chromag yet
I had previously updated a 3x9 bike to Prime 9 Box 3 with good results. After one year of terrible shifting on low-end SRAM Eagle with my other bike, I decided to convert it too with Box 2. I no longer have to make tuning compromises at one end of the shifting range, like I did with Eagle. Looking forward to not thinking about shifting, as I already did on my Box 3 bike.
