Our Box Three tier delivers many of the same capabilities of its more famous siblings yet it's built upon a simpler platform. Cassettes are accessible at 11-46T or 11-50T and fashioned with steel spiders. The derailleur exploits our Limited Slip clutch technology without the Tri-pack features. Shift easily with a comparable mechanism, although you'll forgo the hinged clamp and die-cast structure. And lastly, string it all together with a Prime 9 chain but without extravagant coatings. If you're looking to bring your 2/3 by bike into the 21st century, then level up with this group!

- Why Prime 9?
Yes. All Box Three Shifters come with a stainless steel shift cable.
To remove it, use a Phillips head screwdriver and turn it counter-clockwise a quarter turn You can then push the cap out by applying pressure to the cable from the other side. Please Note: The Cable Port is not a screw that un-threads from the cable port, if you turn the cable port screw more than 90 degrees damage may occur.
No, traditional 9 speed systems use a Cable Pull that is not compatible with prime 9.
No, Shimano direct mount hangers are proprietary and are not compatible with Box derailleurs.

No, Box Prime 9 derailleurs are not currently compatible with drop bar shifters, but we do offer a clamp for our shifters to mount on some 31.8mm drop handle bars.
We suggest removing the derailleur from the bike and using a soft bristle brush or rag with soapy water or a mild de-greaser. We do not recommend pressure washing, strong solvents or de-greasers as they could degrade the surface coating.

This is my 6 month review. All shifts are quick and clean. Hard to get a better product for the money. I will be purchasing for my wife's bike soon!
I just love it - switched from 3x to 1x system and riding is quieter and easier. Shipping was fast and everything arrived es expected. Maybe including shifter cable end would have been a nice touch. Following installation video I did not have any problems installing it. I was having a small problem with the chain staying in one gear but barrel adjustment fixed it. I am 57, so 11-50 cassette definitely helps uphill.
group set is great, and everything arrived as it should. no complaints.
Love the snappy gear transitions. Had REI do the final adjustment after I assembled everything. The shifter will take some time to get used to. Seems like the down actuator is too far out in front of the up actuator. A perfect upgrade to my 2018 Specialised Camber. No need to change the rear wheel or cranks. I ran into a strange problem upgrading the front chain wheel to a narrow wide. I purchased a 104 BCD ring and found I had to slightly file the innermost diameter for it to fit on the stock crank. I thought it was the wrong ring and ordered a different one. Both were the same.
Never got it to shift properly through all the gears. I’ve adjusted derailleurs for years and have set up bikes but this derailleur will not shift through all Of its gears. Then my son whacked it on a rock last week so it’s now toast.
