All Hex Lab rims are engineered and crafted using our Oversized Technology. We’ve carefully studied the load paths from the bars through the stem, headset, fork, axle, hub to the spokes and into the rim for steering stiffness. The same approach was taken via the pedals through the cranks and other components on the way to the rear rim for pedaling stiffness. That extra stiffness will net you more power to the ground out back, and upfront, you'll feel in control. When combined with Box's other Oversized components, you'll experience heightened responsiveness and reduced latency. Due to their compatibility with tubeless and tubed configurations, these rims have a broad range of tire options and setup possibilities, making them perfect for any track.
Key Differences: The Hex Lab Carbon BMX Rims are the only rims in the Box line-up to be blessed with Oversized Technology. They are also the only model to use Ultra High Modulus Carbon Fiber (stiffer than other carbons variants). Take notice of the unique Symmetrical Dihedral Angle Stabilizers. Yes, it’s a mouthful but each of those words carries meaning. The sculpted bullet-shaped spoke beds are designed to bridge the angle between the rim's angled flanks and the vertical plane. With that, we achieve the stability, stiffness, and durability of a much broader rim profile without actually taking on most of the extra material.
