Box One™ 120 TPI Folding Tires were engineered with a minimalist approach to hit lofty goals for weight, traction, rolling resistance, and rebound. At its heart is a super-supple 120TPI casing where we forced in as much rubber displacing nylon as possible. Skin walls are employed to reduce drag and further reduce weight. We flanked the high-density casing with a tightly packed hoop of aramid fibers. Finally, we draped this all with BMX race-specific tread that transitions from a center band with a large contact patch to unidirectional tactile knobbies on the sides. This aggressive combination allows for maximum traction out of the gate, immense adhesion in the corners, and low rolling resistance in the straights. A state-of-the-art mixture of compounds is used in various areas of the apex, wall, bead seat, and center – with higher silica content in the tread to again remove more weight.

Note: Not a tubeless tire

This is it!

I think we have bought every tire available and was never really satisfied with the performance of any of them 100%. Some are to grippy, some are not grippy enough. Some are to hard and some are not. ETC. The Box tire seems to be the one. It works well for me. This is the tire I roll with.

Great grip, quality not so great

Lets start by saying I was excited that Box came out with BMX race specific tires! The over all design is very effective on the track, quick, sticks real well in corners (rather asphalt, or dirt). Unfortunately that's were the good ends for me, maybe I got a bad first run batch or something. My issues and the issues that I am currently having are... I don't know if the molds in the factory were off a slight bit but the tread waves back and forth on entire tire and that goes for the front and rear tires. Front 20x1.9 rear 20x1.7. The front tire waves about 3/4 of the tire and is straight the last 1/4 of the tire. And the rear tire is about full wave (tread jumps back and forth from side to side) now this is something that you typically see on a tire that is not correctly seated. But both front and rear have been fully seated several times with various lubricants from dish shop to a high viscosity of chain lube, and still the issues are the same with the tread. And both rims are as true as they can be. So I'm not sure if Box will warranty this but well see. Don't let this deter you from them. They are a great tire that is very track friendly and very effective. I just got a bad set of tires.
