The Box One 7-speed Downhill Rear Derailleur is based on our 11-speed drive-train but has a the signature white short cage and beefed up compact linkages. Other fab features include a fully adjustable Tri-Pack(TM) Clutch, and optimization for an 11-24T cassette. These guys are tuned for the most demanding downhill runs.

Are Box derailleurs compatible with Shimano "direct mount" hangers?

No. Shimano direct mount hangers are proprietary and are not compatible with Box derailleurs.

Is the Box DH Rear Derailleur compatible with 7 speed shifters from other manufacturers?

No. Box 7 Speed DH Rear Derailleurs are only designed for use with Box 7 speed Shifters and are not compatible with downhill drivetrains from other companies.
